RF+ Replay for Heikin AshiRF+ Replay for Heikin Ashi
RF+ Replay for Heikin Ashi generates fully customisable Heikin Ashi candlesticks presented on a standard chart, enabling traders to utilise the Tradingview Replay feature with Heikin Ashi candlesticks when analysing and backtesting HA style strategies.
The features of this indicator include:
- Fully customisable Heikin Ashi Candles, including custom colour options for candle bodies, borders and wicks.
- Optional real-time, real-price close dots painted onto each candlestick.
- A optional set of 2 x Range Filters designed to indicate short term trend identification upon color change, ideal for low timeframe scalping.
- A optional set of 3 x fully customisable Moving Averages.
- An option to enable Heikin Ashi calculated data for the Range Filters and Moving Averages, so they present as they would on a Heikin Ashi non-standard chart type, without having to use an actual Heikin Ashi chart. Enabled by default.
- An optional sessions indicator, to highlight your prefered trading session for the purpose of backtesting.
- An optional watermark featuring customisable text and well as symbol and timeframe information, as seen in the screenshot of this indicator.
Instructions for use:
1) Because this indicator generates candlesticks and presents them onto your chart, you will need to hide the existing candlesticks so you do not see two sets of candles. You can do this by going into your Tradingview chart settings and making the candle bodies, borders and wicks fully transparent. You can then save this as a layout template. You can access your Chart Settings by clicking on the cog icon, or by right clicking on the chart itself and selecting 'Chart Settings' from the list.
2) Ensure you have the standard chart type selected - you do not need to select a Heikin Ashi type chart.
3) You will now be able to analyise and even backtest your Heikin Ashi style strategies including the use of the Tradingview Replay feature found at the top of the chart.
Heikin Ashi means 'average bar' in Japanese, which speaks to the fact that Heikin Ashi candles are calculated differently to standard Japanese candlesticks. The general idea of Heikin Ashi candles is to 'smooth' the appearance of price movement, by the use of averages within their calculation. It is important to understand that the Open and Close values of a Heikin Ashi candlestick do not reflect real Open and Close prices. You can use the real price dots feature to clearly see the real time and real price Close of each candle.
The formula for calculating a Heikin Ashi candlestick is as follows:
High = Maximum of High, Open, or Close (whichever is highest)
Low = Minimum of Low, Open, or Close (whichever is lowest)
Open = Open (previous bar) + Close (previous bar) /2
Close = (Open + High + Low + Close) / 4

Until next time.

Expected SPX Movement by timeframeTHIS INDICATOR ONLY WORKS FOR SP:SPX CHART
This code will help you to measure the expected movement of SP:SPX in a previously selected timeframe based on the current value of VIX index
E.g. if the current value of VIX is 30 we calculate first the expected move of the next 12 months.
If you selected the Daily timeframe it will calculate the expected move of SPX in the next Day by dividing the current VIX Value by the squared root of 252
(The 252 value corresponds to the approximate amount of trading sessions of the year)
If you selected the Weekly timeframe it will calculate the expected move of SPX in the next Week by dividing the current VIX Value by the squared root of 52
(The 52 value corresponds to the amount of weeks of the year)
If you selected the Monthly timeframe it will calculate the expected move of SPX in the next Week by dividing the current VIX Value by the squared root of 12
(The 12 value corresponds to the amount of months of the year)
For lower timeframes you have to calculate the amount of ticks in each trading session of the year in order to get that specific range
Once you have that calculation it it'll provide the range expressed as percentage of the expected move for the following period.
This script will plot that information in a range of 2 lines which represents the expected move of the SPX for the next period
The red flag indicator tells if that period closed between the 2 previous values marked by the range
two_leg_spread_diffThis script helps you discern the relative change of each leg in a two-legged spread over a given period. The main plot is a difference in log return over the number of bars identified by the "lag" parameter. E.g. if "lag" is 10 and leg one has increased 3% over the past ten bars, while leg two has only increased 1%, the plot value is 2%. The main plot is also colored blue when leg one increases while leg two decreases on a given bar, and red if the opposite is true. This feature identifies periods where the correlation between the two legs diminishes. The one and two standard deviation of the main plot is also plotted in faint background lines. Additionally, a table indicates the percentage in which the main plot is within one standard deviation (acc 1) and two standard deviations (acc 2). Note that the standard deviation updates on each bar, so the current standard deviation is not the one used to calculate the accuracy. Rather, if there are N bars, N different standard deviation readings have been used to compute the accuracy statistics.
The inputs are:
- timeframe: the timeframe of the chart
- leg1_sym: the symbol of the first leg
- leg2_sym: the symbol of the second leg
- lag: the number of bars back to reference for computing the log return of each leg
- anchor_to_session_start: for intraday charts only, this overwrites the "lag" input so that the "lag" always sets the point of comparison to the session start. This setting is used to compute the relative change over a single session.
On Balance Volume DeviationThe objective of this indicator is to be a leading indicator that can detect a large price change before it happens. It is based on the On Balance Volume (OBV) indicator, which is a leading indicator based on the premise that a large change in volume often precedes a large price change. This indicator charts the N-Period deviation of the OBV data and displays it as a histogram. This is overlayed on an area chart of the M-Period SMA of the histogram data. This combination helps to visually enhance the pattern that signifies that a jump in price is about to happen.
Useage:
When the histogram bars are above the area plot, then a jump in price is about to happen
As with all leading indicators, there are a lot of false signals. Confirm with price action or another indicator
The further the histogram bars are above the area plot, the larger the predicted jump in price
It seems to work better on shorter intraday timeframes than on the longer timeframes
At the close of a market session, it is a good indicator of how much the price will jump on the opening of the next market session.
Trend Day IndentificationVolatility is cyclical, after a large move up or down the market typically "ranges" during the next session. Directional order flow that enters the market during this subsequent session tends not to persist, this non-persistency of transactions leads to a non-trend day which is when I trade intraday reversionary strategies.
This script finds trend days in BTC with the purpose of:
1) counting trend day frequency
2) predicting range contraction for the next 1-2 days so I can run intraday reversion strategies
Trend down is defined as daily bar opening within X% of high and closing within X% of low
Trend up is defined as daily bar opening within X% of low and closing within X% of high
default parameters are:
1) open range extreme = 15% (open is within 15% of high or low)
2) close range extreme = 15% (close is within 15% of high or low)
There is also an atr filter that checks that the trend day has a larger range than the previous 4 bars this is to make sure we find true range expansion vs recent ranges.
Notes:
If a trend day occurs after a prolonged sideways contraction it can signal a breakout - this is less common but is an exception to the rule. These types of occurrences can lead to the persistency of order flow and result in extended directional daily runs.
If a trend day occurs close to 20 days high or low (stopping just short OR pushing slightly through) then wait an additional day before trading intraday reversion strategies.
Find Best Performing MA For Golden CrossHello!
This script calculates the performance of any asset following a golden cross of two moving averages of any length!
The calculated moving averages are: SMA, EMA, HMA, VWMA, WMA, LSMA, and ALMA
The best performing moving average for the selected data series is listed first, followed by a descending order.
The indicator works on any timeframe, any asset, and can even be used on indicators such as RSI, %b, %k, etc.
The Moving Average Length and Source Are Customizable!
The Moving Averages Can Be Plotted on Most Data Series, Such As:

BABA 24/7 - Alibaba price chart all exchanges combinedThis script combines Alibaba stock price from NYSE, HKEX and XETRA (EU) exchanges into one chart. It handles currency and ADR conversions automatically and price is always shown in USD.
NOTE!! You must add the indicator in a chart that updates 24/7, such as EURUSD. If you use a chart that updates only during US session (such as BABA), HK/EU sessions will not be shown.
If you want to add indicators in the chart, hover your mouse over indicator title "BABA 24/7" in the upper left corner of the chart, select the rightmost button "..." that appears and then Add indicator/Strategy.
TAPLOT Wick PlayWick play is a candle stick long setup popularized by 2020 US Investing Champion Oliver Kell
Wick Play is a setup in which:
Strong stock with momentum to the upside closes off the highs of the day in yesterdays session.
Today's session opens in the candle "wick" of yesterdays bar.
If stock holds in the wick and doesn't trade in the body of yesterdays candle, it is a sign of strength.
Trigger happens on day 3 when price moves over the high of the wick inside day.
It is important to note that this setup should not be traded in isolation. Not every wick play is buyable.
This is to be used in the context of strong stocks like True Market Leaders and with buying momentum behind them.
Indicator places an up arrow under the candle setup. It also colors the candle itself. All configurable through indicator settings.
Cheers!

AsianRange and KillZonesAsia Range Shadow Box and ICT Killzones
If you watch ICT on youtube you will know what to do with this :-)
I had found a lot of great ideas but none of them completely had what I was personally looking for so I put all of the great ideas I had found and added my own twist to it.
I wanted a easily customizable indicator that did the following
- Showed the Asia Range (customizable time)
- Allowed Asia range high and low to be extended
- Fill the asia range or just have it outlined
- The ability to have 4 customizable zones (default to ICT kill zones) but you can make them whatever you want
- Ability to turn off various zones if you want (Maybe you just want a New York Session and thats it)
I also place a "Max timeframe to display" - Personally I don't want this showing on anything over a 60min chart so you can adjust that parameter (in minutes) to your liking.
This was also fully converted to pine v4
I hope in a future revision to take use of the new "box" feature to get a cleaner box around Asia session.
Highlight candles by timeThis allows you to highlight candles that fall within session times so you can see what candles make up sessions on various timeframes.
[BMAX] Daily Gaps(ENGLISH)
This indicator was built to allow traders to observe the open gaps between sessions in the Market. It can be used either on daily or weekly timeframes. Also it incluses a standard deviation band (such as bollinger band) in order to verify the gaps variance. This indicator can be used to check what is the variance on the session open gaps and prepare to protect the positions against market volatility when swing or position trading.
User-Inputed Time Range & FibsGreetings Traders! I have decided to release a few scripts as open-source as I'm sure others can benefit from them and perhaps make them better.(Be sure to check my Profile for the other scripts as well: www.tradingview.com).
This one is called User-Inputed Time Range & Fibs.
The idea behind this script is to record the Range Highs and Lows of a User Defined Period, and plot potential Targets based on either Fibonacci Extensions or a Multiple of the Range Size. I created this originally for use with the US Session Initial Balance(From 9:30-10:30AM EST), however it can be set to any time period.
What is Initial Balance? In simple words, Initial Balance (IB) is the price data, which are formed during the first hour of a trading session. Activity of traders forms the so-called Initial Balance at this time. This concept was introduced for the first time by Peter Steidlmayer when he presented the market profile to traders(atas.net).
The IB is monitored as a break-out area for Range Extension traders. The IB High is also seen as an area of resistance and the IB Low as an area of support until it is broken(www.mypivots.com).
As a note, depending on the Time Zone you are in, you may need to manually add or subtract from the Timed Range to match the desired Time. For example in NY Eastern Time, I have to use 8:30-9:30AM to Capture the 9:30-10-30AM IB for ES and NQ. Similarly, I must use 14:30-15:30PM to Capture the 9:30-10-30AM IB for BTC. You will need to make adjustments based on the Time Zone you are located in.
I wanted to give a Special Thanks to @PineCoders for the Custom Rounding Function from Backtesting/Trading Engine--> (), Pinecoders.com for help with Tracking the Highs/Lows--> (www.pinecoders.com), and @TradeChartist for allowing me to use some of the code for the Fibonacci Extensions from his script here--> ().
If you like User-Inputed Time Range & Fibs, be sure to Like, Follow, and if you have any questions, don't be afraid to drop a comment below.
Equity Index Overnight FakeoutThis script highlights when price violates the highest high or lowest low within the user's selected lookback period, with the caveat that it occurs during the GLOBEX session. The script is designed to work exclusively with the trading hours for CME and CBOT Equity Index futures. I'm planning to make a more customizable version down the line.
My reasoning behind this very simple script is that the low liquidity and participation of the overnight session creates a tendency for moves at extremes to mean revert. Let me know what you think.
Cumulative Volume v3The script, for Pine Script version 3, shows how to accumulate volume values during a defined session/period.
The input is the period to use for accumulation. "D" is the default value, useful to view data for each session.
This is slower than version 4 because there is no "var" and you need to use a loop. Also, you can't use "sum( volume , cnt_new_day)" with a variable length argument instead of "for".
Cumulative VolumeThe script shows how to accumulate volume values during a defined session/period.
The input is the period to use for accumulation. "D" is the default value, useful to view data for each session.
Daily OBVOBV that should reset on a daily session break. Looks neat when you scroll out all the way. Good use remains to be found; I believe this could be a useful reference for a more fleshed out idea for 'local zone' OBVs. Maybe comparing previous sessions' daily OBVs to current.
Dynamic PivotsShows various traditional pivots and hides the daily and weekly when you're watching in higher time frames. It also shows you the previous sessions highs and lows. In addition the developing pivots, high and low in the current session are also displayed.
VWAP Stdev Bands v2This is an update to my original VWAP Stdev Bands indicator found here:
* Fixed the calculation of the opening bar
* Added two additional deviation bands
* Added horizontal line of previous VWAP close
This update adds support for two more sets of bands, allowing you to show 1st, 2nd, and 3rd deviations. These extra bands are disabled by default as to not crowd the chart, but are shown in the screenshot and can be enabled under the indicator settings. The numbers 3.09 and 1.28 were recommended by coondawg71 in a comment on the original version. The previous version started calculating VWAP on a change of day, instead of a change of session. It now correctly calculates the VWAP when a new session begins. The last addition allows you to plot the previous day's VWAP close. The VWAP is where price has found balance, which makes these levels significant among the noise.
Thanks to coondawg71 for all suggestions.
Candlesticks Patterns [TradingFinder] Pin Bar Hammer Shooting🔵 Introduction
Truly, the title "TradingView" doesn't do justice to this excellent website, and that's why I've written about its crucial aspect. In this indicator, the identification of all candlesticks known as "Pin bars" is explored.
These candlesticks include the following:
- Hammer : A Pin bar formed at the end of a bearish trend, with its body being either bearish or bullish.
- Shooting Star : Formed at the end of a bullish trend, with its body being either bearish or bullish.
- Hanging Man : Formed during an upward trend, characterized by a candle with a lower shadow.
- Inverted Hammer : Formed during a downward trend, characterized by a candle with an upper shadow.
🟣 Important : For ease of use, we refer to these four candlestick patterns as Pin Bars and categorize them into the main friends "Bullish" and "Bearish."
🟣 Important : In all sources, Hanging Man and Inverted Hammer are referred to as "Reversal candles." However, in reality, whenever they appear after breaking a significant area (Break Out), we expect these candles to signal a continuation of the trend and confirmation in the direction of the trend.
🟣 Important : One of the best signs of market manipulation and entry by market giants is the "Ice Berg." So, it provides one of the best trading opportunities.
🔵 Reason for Creation
Many traders, especially volume traders, use Pin bars as confirmation and enter the market after their occurrence. In this indicator, all four patterns are identified and displayed in a colored candle format, using "triangle" and "circle."
When they are evident on the chart, directly or by drawing a horizontal line, they give us good alerts for reversal or continuation areas.
🔵 Information Table
1. Red circle: Pin bars formed in a downtrend.
2. Blue circle: Bullish Pin bars formed in an uptrend.
3. Black triangle: Bearish Pin bar candle in an uptrend.
4. Blue triangle: Bullish Pin bar candle in a downtrend.
🔵 Settings
Trend Detection Period: A special feature that considers smaller or larger fluctuations. If individual price waves need to be considered, use lower numbers; if the overall trend direction is desired, use larger numbers (e.g., 5-7 or higher). This precisely sets the Zigzag or Pivot format, not displayed but considered in the indicator calculation.
Trend Effect : By changing the Trend Effect status to "Off," all Pin bars, whether bullish or bearish, are displayed regardless of the current market trend. If the status remains "On," only Pin bars in the direction of the main market trend are shown.
🟣 Important : Black triangles "Number 3" and blue triangles "Number 4" displayed in the information table section, as explained in the "Information Table" section.
Show Bullish Pin Bar : When set to "Yes," displays bullish Pin bars; when set to "No," does not display them.
Show Bearish Pin Bar : When set to "Yes," allows the display of bearish Pin bars; when set to "No," does not display them.
Bullish Pin Bar Setting : Using the "Ratio Lower Shadow to Body" and "Ratio Lower Shadow to Higher Shadow" settings, you can customize your bullish Pin bar candles. Larger numbers impose stricter conditions for identifying bullish Pin bars.
Bearish Pin Bar Setting : Using the "Ratio Higher Shadow to Body" and "Ratio Higher Shadow to Lower Shadow" settings, you can customize your bearish Pin bar candles. Larger numbers impose stricter conditions for identifying bearish Pin bars.
Show Info Table : Allows the display or non-display of the information table (located at the bottom of the page and on the right side).
🔵 How to Use
At the end of a downtrend, look for "Hammer" candles, easily identified one by one.
To identify the "Shooting Star" candle pattern at the end of an uptrend; expect a price reversal in the downtrend.
For trades in the downward direction, wait for the formation of an "Inverted Hammer" Pin bar.
And finally, in an uptrend, where a "Hanging Man" candle can form.
🔵 Features
For better visualization, triangles and circles are used above the candles, but they can be easily removed. All Pin bars are displayed in color with the following meanings:
- Black-bodied candle: Inverted Hammer
- Turquoise blue candle: Hammer
- Pink candle: Hanging Man
- Red candle: Shooting Star
🟣 Important : The capability to detect the powerful two-candle pattern "Tweezer Top" at the end of an uptrend emerges by forming two "Shooting Star" candles side by side.
Similarly, the two-candle pattern "Tweezer Bottom" is created at the end of a downtrend with the formation of two "Hammer" candles side by side. To identify the "Tweezer" pattern, make sure the settings in the "Trend Effect" section are set to "Off."
🟣 Auxiliary Indicators
During the start of trading sessions such as Asia, London, and New York, where the highest liquidity exists, alongside this indicator, you can use the Trading Sessions indicator.
Sessions
The combination of Order Blocks "-OB" and "+OB" with candles is one of the best trading methods. The indicator that identifies order blocks, along with this indicator, can yield remarkable results in the success of Pin bar candles.
