IWM Small Cap Down Trend ($RUT)
Small caps are in a downtrend, didn't set an ATH this year like the other indices.
Everyone is expecting the market to either bust out to a new high or new low, I think it's gonna trade sideways. I think everyone's expecting 2008 again, and that won't happen because we're not looking a a global financial crisis like the last recession. What we're looking at is the collapse of a bubble market similar to the dot com bust.
While $NDX, $SPX, $DJI bounce around sideways, small caps will lead the market down. Eventually those other indices will start forming lower lows and highs like 2000-2002.
So my guess is that we're at the top, just a very bouncey whipsaw top.
