$INTC In Uptrend?

INTC It is looking like this old dog might be ready to move higher. Since the August 24th ER Gap Down, Intel has been putting in a nice base. In doing so it has established an uptrend and is well into the gap. I have an alert set just above the 21 DMA (teal blue).

If it triggers, I will take a long position with a stop under the most recent low which will give me a great risk reward entry. Let’s see what happens.

INTC Did trigger an entry for me this morning. I waited a bit to get involved but started a position (1/2 size) at 25.40. I am a little underwater at this point but I will stick to my trading plan with a stop below the most recent daily low. Lets see what happens.

INTC For the last 45 minutes buyer been defending the $24 level. If it can hold rest of day, I'm still in. If not, I will close my position for a small loss.

The $24 level did not hold so I am out of this trade. Back on the watchlist. I will take the trade again if it sets up on the same criteria.

INTC I am still thinking this one can run. In the last 5 minutes of trading today, there were over 7.5mm shares traded and in the last 10 minutes there were over 12 mm shares changing hands for a close just over $24 per share which was an area that found buyers most of the day.

Those volume numbers came from my trading platform, Interactive Brokers. TV only has just over 7 mm shares the whole day. I am choosing to believe IBKR's numbers.

INTC I am back into this one. Stop just below todays low.

That did not workout well. I have closed it for a bigger loss that I had planned... Next time hard stop goes in the machine.
