Parabolic nature took off at $1000-BTC mark

The Clear Stair Step pattern took off past the 1K for a single btc.

Was this due to:
1) The magic number of $1K?
2) Tether availability?
3) Ease of access to Exchanges?

If it's 2) then are we screwed when that explodes?
