RSI-Last-3-ExtremaThis script indicates when the current Relative Strength Index of the last 8 closes is beyond a level from center oscillation which signals the equity is likely to reverse course. When it is the lowest RSI reading of the prior 3 readings and below 25, a green vertical bar will appear signaling a potential BUY point. Likewise, the highest reading of the prior 3 RSI readings and above 75 will signal a vertical red bar or SELL signal. The bar has to have a final close price for the signal to be active. Reversal could take a few more bars to occur depending on the timeframe and equity symbol.
You will be able to find many charts that have this signal perfectly finding the top or bottom of a significant trend.
It successfully indicates profitable reversal around 80% of the time. So far, It is 85% accurate or better in determining downtrend start points on the Daily, 120, 60, 30 Minute charts according to the study of more than 10,000 occurrences. It is 86% accurate on the 30 Minute chart.
This is another tool I use in finding or confirming potential price action. Hope you find it useful.
To add this, favorite the script by clicking "Add to your Favorite Indicators" at the top of the code portion below. On your top tool bar is an "fx" button with a downward arrow to the right of it. Turtle Trade trend following system is a complete opposite to the "buy low and sell high" approach.
This trend following system was taught to a group of average and normal individuals, and almost everyone turned into a profitable trader.
They used the basis logic of well known DONCHIAN CHANNELS which developed by Richard Donchian.
The main rule is "Trade an 20-day breakout and take profits when an 10-day high or low is breached ". Examples:
Buy a 20-day breakout and close the trade when price action reaches a 10-day low.
Go short a 20-day breakout and close the trade when price action reaches a 10-day high.

The red line is the trading line which indicates the trend directio n:

Price bars under the trend line means downtrend
The dotted blue line is the exit line.
Original system is:
Go long when the price High is equal to or above previous 20 day Highest price.

Recommended initial stop-loss is ATR * 2 from the opening price.

Original Turtle Rules:
To trade exactly like the turtles did, you need to set up two indicators representing the main and the failsafe system.
Set up the main indicator with EntryPeriod = 20 and ExitPeriod = 10 (A.k.a S1)
Set up the failsafe indicator with EntryPeriod = 55 and ExitPeriod = 20 using a different color. (A.k.a S2)
The entry strategy using S1 is as follows
Buy 20-day breakouts using S1 only if last signaled trade was a loss.
Sell 20-day breakouts using S1 only if last signaled trade was a loss.
If last signaled trade by S1 was a win, you shouldn't trade -Irregardless of the direction or if you traded last signal it or not-

Why is it an advanced Bollinger Bands Strategy?
The purpose of Bollinger Bands is to provide a relative definition of high and low prices of a market. By definition, prices are high at the upper band and low at the lower band. This definition can aid in rigorous pattern recognition and is useful in comparing price action to the action of indicators to arrive at systematic trading decisions. Adding a Moving Average filter which only allows trades if MA and Price are outside of the BB increases the probability of profitable trades with the sacrifice of a lower trade-frequency.

Weekly/Daily/Hourly/Minutes Colored Background IntervalsThis is my "Weekly/Daily/Hourly/Minutes Colored Background Intervals" assistant. I wouldn't describe it as an indicator, it just exhibits coloration of referenced periods of time with bgcolor() in Pine. With the arrival of 2021, I pondered the necessity of needing a visualization pre-2021 to visually recognize periodicity of market movements by the week, day, hour, or an adjustable period of minutes. While this script is simply generic, I hope you may find useful in your endeavors as a member on TradingView.
Explaining the script's usage, the "Minutes" input can be adjusted from anywhere between 5-55 minutes for only intraday. This can be modified to accommodate 90 minutes (1.5hrs) or any other minutes period desirable by tweaking certain numbers up to 1440. Minutes and Hourly backgrounds are disabled by default for most daily traders. Changing the input() code to `true` will provide them on by default when the script loads, if you choose that route. Each time periods background color is enable/disable capable. All of the colors are easily adjustable to any combination you can ponder for your visual acuity with the color swatch provided by input(type=input.color). The coloring can be "swapped" by input() depending on how you wish to start and end the day visually. I thought this would come in handy. The weekly background can have different starting points, whether it be Sunday, Monday, or any other day such as Friday for example.
The entire script's contents isn't intended for complete re-use as is for publicly published scripts. It's more along the lines of code that could be used to personally modify indicators you have, depending on the time frames you may actually be trading on. The code is basically modular, so you can use bits and pieces of it in your personally modified Pine Editor scripts that you wish to customize for yourself. I will say that the isXxx() functions are completely reusable in any script without any need for author permission inquiries from me, as easy as copy and paste. Those may come in handy for many folks. If you find them useful in certain circumstances, use isXxx() functions as you please. Day of the week detection by functions will have applications beyond my current intended use for them.
Of notable mention, this is a miniature lesson by example of how the new input(type=input.color) may be used. I'm also using `var` inside functions to aid in computational efficiency of the script runtime. The colors are permanently stored at the very beginning of the scripts operation inside the function and just reused from that point onward. Its a rare use case, but well suited for this scripts intention. Once again I have demonstrated the "Power of Pine" for developers of any experience level to learn from via code elegance.

Pyramiding Entries On Early Trends (by Coinrule)Pyramiding the entries in a trading strategy may be risky but at the same time very profitable with a proper risk management approach. This strategy seeks to spot early signs of uptrends and increase the position's size while the right conditions persist.
Each trade comes with its stop-loss and take-profit to enforce a proportional risk/reward profile.
The strategy uses a mix of Moving Average based setups to define the buy-signal.
The Moving Average (200) is above the Moving Average (100), which prevents from buying when the uptrend is already in its late stages
The Moving Average (9) is above the Moving Average (100), indicating that the coin is not in a downtrend.
The price crossing above the Moving Average (9) confirms the potential upside used to fire the buy order.
Each entry comes with a stop-loss and a take-profit in a ratio of 1-to-1. After over 400 backtests, we opted for a 3% TP and 3% SL, which provides the best results.
The strategy is optimized on a 1-hour time frame.
The Advantages of this strategy are:
It offers the possibility of adjusting the size of the position proportionally to the confidence in the possibilities that an uptrend will eventually form.
Low drawdowns. On average, the percentage of trades in profit is above 60%, and the stop-loss equal to the take-profit reduces the overall risk.
This strategy returned good returns both with trading pairs with Fiat/stable coins and with BTC. Considering the mixed trends that cryptocurrencies experienced during 2020 vs BTC, this strengthens the strategy's reliability.
The strategy assumes each order to trade 20% of the available capital and pyramids the entries up to 7 times.
A trading fee of 0.1% is taken into account. The fee is aligned to the base fee applied on Binance, which is the largest cryptocurrency exchange.

Bjorgum Triple EMA Strat-This script uses a triple EMA strategy to establish trend direction and reversal points
-Inputs are smoothed with Heiken Ashi values to reduce whipsaws, while providing timely execution
-Buy and sell indications are dictated by bar color
-Bar color is dictated by the candle close value in relation to the EMAs, specifically the faster of the 3
(If candle closes above or below the fast and intermediate averages, a buy or sell signal is indicated by bar color change)

Carbon Triangle OscillatorThis is a variant of the Awesome Oscillator that can show the realtionship between three instruments at the same time.
I created this primarily for currency trading where a Currency Triangle is an arithmetic relationship between three currency instruments.
Example: GBP/JPY = GBP/USD * USD/JPY
By viewing the reationship between a currency instrument of interest and two of its component instruments,
we may be able to discern patterns that lead to profitable trades.
This script uses the current instrument on the chart as the foreground line plot,
and the other two configureable instruments as two overlaid histograms behind.

BuyTheDipWell, I often had arguments in online forum with a guy who claimed to time the market perfectly without any technical analysis or prior experience. He often claimed that technical analysis does not work and it only works when you trade on other's emotions. He also argued that algorithmic trading isn't profitable - if so, everyone would do that. Hence, I thought I will convert his idea to algorithm.
In his own words, the strategy is as below:
Chose an instrument which is in full uptrend.
Wait for the panic sell and buy the dip
Once market recovers back exit immediately
It seems to do just fine with indexes. But, not so good when it comes to stocks.
Low volatility Buy w/ TP & SL (Coinrule)The compression of volatility usually leads to expansion. When the breakout comes, it can ignite strong trends. One way to catch a coin trading in an accumulation area is to spot three moving averages with values close to each other. The strategy uses a combination of Moving Averages to spot the best time to buy a coin before its breakout.
Buy Condition
The MA200 is greater than the MA100
The MA50 is greater than the MA100
According to backtesting results, the 1-hour time frame is the best to run this strategy.
Sell Condition
Take Profit: the price increases 8% from the entry price
Stop Loss: the price drops 4% from the entry price
The strategy has a profitability of 40-60% (depending on the market conditions). Having a ratio of two between Take profit and Stop Loss helps keeping the strategy profitable in the long term.
Aroon Oscillator StrategyThis is simple strategy based on Aroon Oscillator. I have found that using length 144 or 169 on hourly chart shows excellent results.
Tested on SPY , QQQ and AAPL. Especially when you look at AAPL results , it has 60% profitable in recent trades. ( Dont assume this will be same for other stocks or ETFs)
Aroon Oscillator setting : 169 ( 169 is square root of 13 ... you can also use fib level 144 , which is square root of 12 )

Cross impro test by Canundo Crossover Crossunder Tick valuesThis is a script where I tried to check the following things:
Even thought the tick of an asset is, for example 0.5, there are calculated prices, like SMA's that have even more decimals. Leading to crosses happening that for example happen at the same price. Consequently triggering totally useless in side markets. What happens if SMA values are restricted to the tick resolution? (Option works on it's own or with a combination of the others.)
What happens if I set my own tick value, like 0.8 instead of 0.5, what will be the effect for calculated values that are used for crossings? Will tick sizes improve the success rate? (This option will work only when the first option is active.)
Can success rate, especially for sideway markets be improved when adding a spread between MA's, so that it triggers less in sideway markets? (Option works on it's own or with a combination of the others.)
First of all, I had a hard time to round prices properly when it needs to be dynamic and working for different assets with different amounts of decimal values in the tick. The solution is that abs(floor(syminfo.mintick)) will give you the amount of decimals a tick has. It works for all ticks that are at least lower than 10. I'm not sure how huge ticks are out there. I did not implement this solution at the end since I found another way to test it.
Findings:
The first option, when activated, takes out half the trades and raises the percent profitability by 8% so there is some effect. However, all of the tested options have less advantage than I hoped for but are nevertheless something worthy for sideway markets. The first option just forces the MA's from the example to use the tick resolution.

The lines are the MA's with adjusted values, the crosses are the places of the MA's when left as is.
Here a screenshot of the third option set to the value 2 on the 1 minute XBTUSD chart.
The advantage is that less trades trigger that have a low change in price and so less trading fees will happen.
The disadvantage is that all options can implement some delay for a crossing since the crossing will trigger once a slightly bigger move into the direction was taken.
This test environment was not meant to be profitable but to test the effects.
Maybe someone finds it interesting or wanted to test the same, so here you can save some work.
Visualizing Behaviors of barstate VariablesThe title pretty much sums up what this script does. It's intended for Pine Script developers, but especially for newcomers to Pine Editor contemplating the use of barstate variables. I would recommend using this on 15 second or 1 minute chart intervals for a quick and obvious analysis of barstate behaviors.
These barstate variables change from TRUE to FALSE or FALSE to TRUE during specific times/conditions of script operation. One unique state you might not ever see change is barstate.isfirst. This is only TRUE when bar_index==0, most easily viewed on the monthly "All" chart on the far left. I provided a label displaying the current bar_index for perspective. I hope this provides an improved grasp of barstate understanding for fellow members, as it did for myself.

Truncated Bandpass Filter and Bandpass Filter - Dr. John EhlersWith the arrival of the blessed gifts of arrays from TV, I now present the REAL "Truncated Bandpass Filter" indicator employing PSv4.0 upon initial release, originally formulated by the magnificent mathemagician Dr. John Ehlers for TASC - July 2020 Traders Tips. Don't be bamboozled by the other incorrect truncated bandpass filters found on TV, those published with an erroneous haste that preceded Pine array availability. More information about these bandpass filters can be acquired with a simple search for this indicator's white paper, entitled "TRUNCATED INDICATORS by John F. Ehlers", on his site in the educational reference section.
This actually contains two indicators, one being the truncated bandpass, the other being a two pole bandpass which is also found in my Voss implementation. The two pole bandpass is primarily for comparison of both types, but as you can see, they share common code within both, one being truncated and the other not. I modified Ehlers' original truncation formulation by allowing the capability to alter the truncation period using two distinct methods. I will explain very briefly that the purpose of a truncated "infinite impulse response" filter is to dampen it's response. Truncation techniques aren't limited to only bandpass filters, "some" other IIR filters, but not all, may benefit from this as well.
Lastly this is a miniature starter lesson by example of how the new native Pine array functions may be used, along with other various methods such as `var` to improve computational efficiency on the cloud servers. Yep, native Pine arrays just doubled the "Power of Pine" by exponential magnitudes of power into the dimension of what I would now term as the "Immense Power of Pine" . The next generation capability of programming extremely advanced indicators has now successfully arrived on mothership Earth, right on TradingView's front lawn. Who would of known?? This is brought to you in part by the devoted voluntary efforts of the most skilled poetic programmers on TV, the likes of which most extraterrestrial alien programmers would fear. The scripts posted are categorized into 5 levels according to my efforts or manhours put into these works.
Level 1 : interesting script snippets or distinctive improvement from classic indicators or strategy. Level 1 scripts can usually appear in more complex indicators as a function module or element.
Level 2 : composite indicator/strategy. By selecting or combining several independent or dependent functions or sub indicators in proper way, the composite script exhibits a resonance phenomenon which can filter out noise or fake trading signal to enhance trading confidence level.
Level 3 : comprehensive indicator/strategy. They are simple trading systems based on my strategies. They are commonly containing several or all of entry signal, close signal, stop loss, take profit, re-entry, risk management, and position sizing techniques. Even some interesting fundamental and mass psychological aspects are incorporated.

Background
One of the biggest differences between cryptocurrency and traditional financial markets is that cryptocurrency is based on blockchain technology. Individual investors can discover the direction of the flow of large funds through on-chain transfers. These large funds are often referred to as Whale. Whale can have a significant impact on the price movements of cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin . Therefore, how to monitor Whale trends is of great significance both in terms of fundamentals and technical aspects.
The KDJ oscillator display consists of 3 lines (K, D and J - hence the name of the display) and 2 levels. K and D are the same lines you see when using the stochastic oscillator. The J line in turn represents the deviation of the D value from the K value. The convergence of these lines indicates new trading opportunities. Just like the Stochastic Oscillator, oversold and overbought levels correspond to the times when the trend is likely to reverse.
Function
L2 KDJ with Whale Pump and Oust is a composite indicator that combines both KDJ and Whale Pump and Oust detector. By virtue of this, fake signal of KDJ can be filtered out to some degree.
Key Signal
whalepump --> whale buy behavior will be detected and displayed in green histograms
oust --> after whale buy behavior, there usually a oust action from whale to drive out profitable orders to reduce the selling pressure of subsequent pull ups. This oust will be detected and displayed in red histograms
k --> k value of a stochastic oscillator
d --> d value of a stochastic oscillator
j --> the deviation of the d value from the d value of a stochastic oscillator
Pros and Cons
Pros:
1. filter out KDJ fake signal by introducing whale pump/oust detector
2. J value can be used to detect overbought and oversold regions
Cons:
1. It works better in small time frame and sideways. Extreme long or short conditions may cause KDJ staturate.
2. It can only indicate in current time frame, larger time frame trend info is missing.
Remarks
An improved version of L2 KDJ with Whale Pump Detector by adding oust function. Works fine in 15mins time frame.

Level 1 : interesting script snippets or distinctive improvement from classic indicators or strategy. Level 1 scripts can usually appear in more complex indicators as a function module or element.
Level 2 : composite indicator/strategy. By selecting or combining several independent or dependent functions or sub indicators in proper way, the composite script exhibits a resonance phenomenon which can filter out noise or fake trading signal to enhance trading confidence level.
Level 3 : comprehensive indicator/strategy. They are simple trading systems based on my strategies. They are commonly containing several or all of entry signal, close signal, stop loss, take profit, re-entry, risk management, and position sizing techniques. Even some interesting fundamental and mass psychological aspects are incorporated.
Level 4 : script snippets or functions that do not disclose source code. Interesting element that can reveal market laws and work as raw material for indicators and strategies. If you find Level 1~2 scripts are helpful, Level 4 is a private version that took me far more efforts to develop.
Level 5 : indicator/strategy that do not disclose source code. private version of Level 3 script with my accumulated script processing skills or a large number of custom functions. I had a private function library built in past two years. Level 5 scripts use many of them to achieve private trading strategy.
Voss Predictor (A Peek Into the Future) - Dr. John EhlersI have been sitting on this for over a year, but I now present this "Voss Predictive Filter" multicator employing PSv4.0 upon initial release, originally formulated by the great and empowering Dr. John Ehlers for TASC - August 2019 Traders Tips. This is a slightly modified version of the original indicator John Ehlers designed. My improved implementation is an all-in-one combination of three indicators, consisting of Ehlers' 2-pole bandpass filter, fed into the Voss predictor, and my Correlation Color. I also purposefully attempted to make this indicator work on both "Light" and "Dark" charts equally well.
You can search for this indicator's white paper, entitled "A PEEK INTO THE FUTURE By John Ehlers", on his site in the educational reference section. It's VERY important that you fully grasp how this indicator works and when it doesn't during trending price movements. According to "TV House Rules", I can't link directly to his white paper on his web site. Technically he's a vendor, even though it has been divulged to me, that he is intending to retire after his last and final wØℾk$#Øp, where he is publicly disseminating the bulk of his unpublished proprietary code that drives his other website VERY SOON.
I love John Ehlers in a respectfully appreciative manner and he is my hero in life! I simply don't revel about pretended celebrities and supposed rock stars. I will never be able to adequately explain to you how much he has influenced me AND this website as it currently exists AND what is in store for the future of the ever evolving "Power of Pine". His inspiring legacy of code poetry shall forever be immortally enshrined here on TV and influence it.
Back to the topic of interest, this script originating from John Ehlers' mind... This indicator helps to anticipate cyclic turning points via negative group delay. It is NOT a predictive crystal ball. Do not become cluelessly disillusioned by it's title. I need to explain.
For example, this indicator could not have anticipated that the bold faced lie of "15 Days to Slow the Spread" of the CHImeravirus "plandemic" in the USA, would turn into our factual reality of multi state mandated orders demanding months of unconstitutional prison cell styled lockdowns with closures and the absurd criminalization of not wearing a mouth mask made from underwear while not being evidently ill, additionally combined with 24/7 black magick mass hypnosis spoon feeding non-scientific fear based psychological propaganda from the world's "finest" epidemiological data analysts and misleaders, eventually decimating the world's markets into zombie economies with abhorrent results of long term massive unemployment and financial hardship on a chart scale never before witnessed. Yep, it's NOT capable of predetermining any of that. I just wanted to make that very clear by example in a metaphorical manner many people can relate to concerning Voss' ability to anticipate.
The indicator consists of a bandpass filter coupled to the Voss predictor. Also, one thing about the Voss predictor, it can catch minute turning points or even false ones as explained in the white paper. So... I included my Correlation Color as a fitting companion to aid you in filtering out false signals during trending price movements. The Voss Predictive Filter should never be used alone, be forewarned!

PineScript v4 - Forex Pin-Bar Trading StrategyPineScript v4, forex trading robot based on the commonly used bullish / bearish pin-bar piercing the moving averages strategy.
I coded this robot to stress-test the PineScript v4 language to see how advanced it is, and whether I could port a forex trading strategy from MT4 to TradingView.
In my opinion, PineScript v4 is still not a professional coding language; for example you cannot use IF-statements to modify the contents of global variables; this makes complex robot behaviour difficult to implement. In addition, it is unclear if the programmer can use nested IF-ELSE, or nested FOR within IF.
The sequence of program execution is also unclear, and although complex order entry and exit appears to function properly, I am not completely comfortable with it.

To reduce the possibility of curve-fitting, this robot was backtested on 12 popular forex currencies, as shown above. The robot was profitable on 8 out of 12 currencies, breakeven on 1, and made a loss on 3.
The default robot settings could be over-fitting for the EUR, as we can see out-sized performance for the EUR pairs, with the exception of the EURGBP. We can see that GBPJPY made the largest loss, so these two pairs could be related.

Simple and efficient PSAR swing strategyThis is a strategy build inside tradingview, which I found it works great with swing/position trading.
It works based on parabolic sar indicator, when indicator is below the candle, is an uptrend and when its its above is a downtrend.
At the same time it's very nice, because it has a sort of stop loss which is dynamic, because it triggers when candle crosses with indicator, so you dont have to worry about stop loss or take profit .
The key here of course, is going to be the risk management, if you want to success with it, never trade more than 2% of you capital, and if you want you can always apply a rule inside the code to close all position if x % amount of equity was going down, although I recommend have patience and let the system do its job.
I recommend this strategy to be used with charts like 1 day or 1 week. If you need and want I can convert it to an indicator that uses alerts (although with strategy as well can be made to send alerts).
PS. When you add this strategy on chart, inside is has different versions, if you use first version(1), it uses the system I explain above. If you use the last one, its based on risk management when the stop loss is the difference between psar and the candle, but it still needs some adjustments to make.
Overall first one is atm much more profitable, but I believe that the version with risk management can be much better, but it need much more adjustments to make which I dont have the time at the moment for it.

McGinley Dynamic (Improved) - John R. McGinley, Jr.For all the McGinley enthusiasts out there, this is my improved version of the "McGinley Dynamic", originally formulated and publicized in 1990 by John R. McGinley, Jr. Prior to this release, I recently had an encounter with a member request regarding the reliability and stability of the general algorithm. Years ago, I attempted to discover the root of it's inconsistency, but success was not possible until now. Being no stranger to a good old fashioned computational crisis, I revisited it with considerable contemplation.
I discovered a lack of constraints in the formulation that either caused the algorithm to implode to near zero and zero OR it could explosively enlarge to near infinite values during unusual price action volatility conditions, occurring on different time frames. A numeric E-notation in a moving average doesn't mean a stock just shot up in excess of a few quintillion in value from just "10ish" moments ago. Anyone experienced with the usual McGinley Dynamic, has probably encountered this with dynamically dramatic surprises in their chart, destroying it's usability.
Well, I believe I have found an answer to this dilemma of 'susceptibility to miscalculation', to provide what is most likely McGinley's whole hearted intention. It required upgrading the formulation with two constraints applied to it using min/max() functions. Let me explain why below.
When using base numbers with an exponent to the power of four, some miniature numbers smaller than one can numerically collapse to near 0 values, or even 0.0 itself. A denominator of zero will always give any computational device a horribly bad day, not to mention the developer. Let this be an EASY lesson in computational division, I often entertainingly express to others. You have heard the terminology "$#|T happens!🙂" right? In the programming realm, "AnyNumber/0.0 CAN happen!🤪" too, and it happens "A LOT" unexpectedly, even when it's highly improbable. On the other hand, numbers a bit larger than 2 with the power of four can tremendously expand rapidly to the numeric limits of 64-bit processing, generating ginormous spikes on a chart.
The ephemeral presence of one OR both of those potentials now has a combined satisfactory remedy, AND you as TV members now have it, endowed with the ever evolving "Power of Pine". Oh yeah, this one plots from bar_index==0 too. It also has experimental settings tweaks to play with, that may reveal untapped potential of this formulation. This function now has gain of function capabilities, NOT to be confused with viral gain of function enhancements from reckless BSL-4 leaking laboratories that need to be eternally abolished from this planet. Although, I do have hopes this imd() function has the potential to go viral. I believe this improved function may have utility in the future by developers of the TradingView community. You have the source, and use it wisely...
I included an generic ema() plot for a basic comparison, ultimately unveiling some of this algorithm's unique characteristics differing on a variety of time frames. Also another unconstrained function is included to display some the disparities of having no limitations on a divisor in the calculation. I strongly advise against the use of umd() in any published script. There is simply just no reason to even ponder using it. I also included notes in the script to warn against this. It's funny now, but some folks don't always read/understand my advisories... You have been warned!
