Czech Producer Prices Drop More than Expected

Producer prices in Czech Republic fell by 0.7% year-on-year in June 2025, easing slightly from a 0.8% decline in the previous month but exceeding market expectations of a 0.5% drop.
This marked the fifth consecutive month of producer price deflation, albeit at a softer pace, as contraction slowed for mining and quarrying (-3.9% vs -4.2% in May), while prices for manufacturing rose by 0.3% after a flat reading in the prior period.
Meanwhile, producer prices continued to fall for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning (-3.7% vs -3.5%), while water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services remained unchanged at 4.1%.
On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped by 0.2% from a 0.6% decrease in the previous month.
