Retail sales volumes in Brazil in May drop 0.2% from April

SAO PAULO July 8 - Retail sales volumes in Brazil fell 0.2% in May from April (BRRSL=ECI), government statistics agency IBGE said on Tuesday.

Economists in a Reuters poll expected an increase of 0.20%.

Sales grew 2.1% from the year-earlier period (BRRSLY=ECI), compared to expectations for a 2.40% increase in the Reuters poll.
