Axa XL names Wilkinson to lead retail international casualty for UK and Lloyd’s

(The Insurer) - Axa XL has promoted Shaun Wilkinson to head of international casualty for its retail business in the UK and Lloyd’s segment, the company said on Tuesday.

In his new role, Wilkinson will lead Axa XL's casualty underwriting unit under the UK and Lloyd's divison's new risk managed underwriting segment. This includes responsibility for driving the firm's UK and Lloyd's underwriting strategy for its retail international casualty portfolio.

He will report to Ben Kinsella, head of risk managed, retail, UK and Lloyd’s.

Wilkinson most recently served as UK retail casualty underwriting manager, having joined Axa XL in 2020.

Prior to that, he was a senior UK casualty underwriter at MS Amlin and a senior liability underwriter at AIG. Willkinson began his career in the broking segment at Marsh.
