Conduit Re confirms Randolph as CRO

(The Insurer) - Conduit Re confirmed on Tuesday that it has appointed William Randolph as chief risk officer, a move first reported by The Insurer last month.

Randolph was previously chief risk officer at Validus Re before joining Relm for a short stint earlier this year.

He has replaced Andrew Smith, who also served as the reinsurer’s chief sustainability officer.

Smith was part of the Conduit Re launch team in 2020. His exit followed the departures of founding CEO Trevor Carvey and chief underwriting officer Gregory Roberts. Neil Eckert, previously executive chairman, has now assumed the position of CEO.

Randolph will report to Eckert in his new role.
