Shell's head of low carbon fuels to step down end of June
Shell's SHEL head of low-carbon fuels Sinead Lynch has decided to leave at the end of June, a company spokesperson said on Thursday.
Lynch joined the company in 2016 after Shell acquired smaller rival BG Group and she was Shell's UK country chair before heading the low carbon fuels division.
Low carbon fuels include sustainable aviation fuel, biodiesel, bioethanol, and renewable compressed natural gas.
Shell has pulled out of and scrapped renewable energy projects and low carbon businesses in recent months as part of CEO Wael Sawan's drive to focus on the most profitable businesses, primarily oil and gas.
Lynch's resignation was announced internally in April. Her division has now been split, with Thomas de Boer leading Renewable Natural Gas while Amir Mansouri heads Low Carbon Fuels, the spokesperson said.
Shell's head of renewable generation Thomas Brostrom left the company in June last year.
