The100 Index started Wednesday on a positive trend but then followed a narrow course to close at 9,722.09, up 0.80%. While the Industrial Index lost 0.28%, the Banking Index diverged positively, up 2.77%. Expectations that foreign investors will enter the, led by banking stocks, continue to support the Banking Index. The results and expectations for the 1Q season are priced-in across the. In parallel with these developments the rising trend of the100 Index is maintained. In global markets, as geopolitical tension moderates, reactionary purchases are observed in the indices, albeit limited. Yesterday, the U.S. and Asian Stock Markets closed with increases. This morning, the U.S. futures are on the negative side, German futures are positive, and Asian stock markets are mixed. We think that the rise in the major stock markets may be limited to reactionary purchases, with global markets continuing to find direction from data and Fed statements. First quarter first reading growth data emerges in the USA today. In the domestic market, the Central Bank's interest rate decision will be announced today. Both the market and our expectations are for no change in interest rates. Recent developments regarding inflation and macro projections will be followed in the details of the decision. The VIOP30 Index ended the evening session up 0.08%. We expect the Benchmark Index to start Thursday on a positive trend and seek to continue its rise if intraday profit-taking is met.
