Foldable AI Powerhouse Rolls Out at Unpacked 2025
Samsung (SSNLF) just lifted the curtain on the Galaxy Z Fold7 at Unpacked 2025, and it's all about AI this time. One UI 8 now thinks like an AI, thanks to deep integration with Google's GOOG Gemini.
Imagine asking your phone for meal ideas by pointing it at your fridge or getting outfit suggestions just by scanning your wardrobe. That's Gemini Live and Circle to Search in action, plus you get six months of Google AI Pro and 2 TB of cloud storage on the house.
Under the hood, the Fold7 packs Qualcomm's QCOM Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, boosting CPU, NPU and GPU performance by roughly 40 percent compared to last year. The main screen unfolds to eight inches under toughened Gorilla Glass 2 Ceramic, while the cover display stays sleek and responsive.
Photography gets a serious upgrade tooa 200 megapixel wide-angle shooter with night-mode video and fresh editing tools that let you erase audio distractions or split-screen your edits side by side.
At just under nine millimeters folded (four point two opened), it's Samsung's thinnest foldable yet and will stream video for about eight hours on a single charge. Pre-orders start today with delivery from July 25, priced at about two grand for 512 GB or just over two-two for the terabyte model, in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jetblack and Mint.
Samsung didn't stop there. The new Z Flip7 and Flip7 FE roll out today too, starting around nine hundred, and the Galaxy Watch8 lineupnow powered by the same Gemini AIis ready to track your health with smarter insights. Meanwhile, Samsung's acquisition of Xealth signals a big push into connected healthcare, tying its devices closer to medical providers.
