$43B Week Pushes 2025 ETF Inflows to Record

Okuma süresi: 3 dakika

U.S.-listed ETFs took in another $43 billion during the week ending Friday, Nov. 7, according to the latest data from FactSet, pushing year-to-date inflows above $1.14 trillion, a new record that surpasses 2024’s total haul.

U.S. equity ETFs led the charge with $25 billion of inflows, followed by U.S. fixed income ETFs at $8.9 billion and international equity ETFs at $7.4 billion. Meanwhile, currency ETFs and commodity ETFs saw outflows of $729 million and $169 million, respectively.

Equity Heavyweights Dominate

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) topped the weekly leaderboard with $12 billion of inflows. It was followed by the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) with $2.8 billion, and the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) with $2.4 billion. VOO’s year-to-date intake now exceeds $105 billion, cementing its status as the top asset gatherer of 2025.

Despite the strong inflows, U.S. stocks pulled back. The S&P 500 fell 2.5% from its Oct. 29 high to Thursday’s low, while the Nasdaq-100 dropped 4.1% as investors took profits in AI-linked names and other 2025 winners.

Yields Jump

The 10-year Treasury yield jumped as high as 4.16%, its loftiest level since September, after a solid ADP jobs report and speculation that the Supreme Court could strike down parts of the Trump administration’s tariffs lifted the outlook for economic growth.

Markets have scaled back their expectations for monetary easing, with three additional rate cuts now priced in for the cycle. Even so, investors continued to favor short-term Treasuries. The iShares 0-3 Month Treasury Bond ETF (SGOV) added $1.4 billion in new money, remaining one of the most popular funds in the market.

Buying the AI Dip

The pullback in high-growth tech didn’t scare everyone off. The VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) saw $1.3 billion of inflows as investors bought into AI-related chip stocks at lower prices.

Aggressive traders also pushed $1.2 billion into the ProShares UltraPro QQQ (TQQQ), a 3x leveraged bet on the Nasdaq-100.

Notable Outflows

On the other side of the ledger, the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (DIA) led with $1.7 billion of redemptions. The Vanguard Information Technology ETF (VGT) shed $1.3 billion, while Schwab U.S. Large-Cap Growth ETF (SCHG) lost $935 million.

The iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) was another major loser, with nearly $600 million of outflows as bitcoin briefly dipped below $100,000 for the first time since June. The fund fell about 20% from its October highs to last week’s lows.
