GRAMMER AG: Year-on-year change in earnings performance in the second quarter of 2025

Ursensollen, July 10, 2025 – Based on preliminary figures, GRAMMER AG's earnings performance in the second quarter of 2025 was below the previous year's level. Accordingly, operating EBIT of around EUR 11.7 million (Q2 2024: EUR 20.2 million) in the second quarter of 2025 is below the previous year's figure.

Operating EBIT was adjusted for negative currency effects of around EUR 6.7 million, positive reversals of restructuring provisions of EUR 1.6 million, and deconsolidation loss for a US Group company of EUR 1.5 million.

Group revenue in the months from April to June 2025 fell by around EUR 34.3 million and totaled around EUR 466.2 million (Q2 2024: EUR 500.5 million).

The Group’s operating result in the second quarter of 2025 was impacted in particular by a decline in revenue and earnings in the AMERICAS and APAC regions. The high-margin business in China specifically recorded a weaker revenue and earnings performance as a result of the economic uncertainties.

However, based on the preliminary figures, operating EBIT in the first six months of 2025 was around EUR 35.6 million, up almost 20% on the previous year (01–06 2024: EUR 29.7 million). The positive development in the half-year comparison is due to the strong first quarter of 2025, in which the restructuring measures increasingly took effect, particularly in EMEA.

Against this backdrop, the Executive Board is maintaining the full-year forecast published in the 2024 Annual Report (Group revenue: around EUR 1.9 billion; operating EBIT: around EUR 60 million).

The half-year report for the first half of 2025 will be published on August 14, 2025.
