XAUUSD is currently displaying an uptrend, characterised by the formation of higher highs and higher lows on the daily timeframe. If the price surpasses the 2253 level, it is likely to continue its upward movement towards the next resistance zone at 2270. Conversely, a breach of the support at 2229 would indicate a potential short-term peak and shift the bias towards the downside, with a target around the 2180 level.
