Gold- In search of direction

Gold is trading in a range for 2 weeks now and nor bulls or bears manage to take control.
At this point, we have clear support around 1765 and strong resistance above 1785 and for a more clear view one of these needs to be broken.
However, my outlook is slightly bearish due to the fact that XauUsd carved some kind of rounded top.
A clear break of support would confirm this outlook and gives scope to a drop to 1720 support
