After Pavel Durov got arrested, got released, started excessively banning accounts & groups on Telegram, excessively complying with law enforcement; I stopped believing in the long-term success of this project.
There's no default end-to-end encryption on Telegram, if you use it for privacy reasons I would suggest to move over to some other platform.
