There's just way too much competition for the coin. There is also the issue of decentralization, or the lack thereof. Finally, who the f knows what China's going to decide to do? As far as I can see, they want a nationalized cryptocurrency, and were that to come to fruition, coins like Neo will simply be cannibalized.

A link to a relevant chart. I'll note here again that a bounce off of the bottom of the upwards trending triangle could lead to the completion of an Inv HS. For this bullish scenario, the price could bounce around the triangle created by the dotted red line, solid red line and solid green line, prior to completing the Inv HS aka multiple right shoulders created.
