Sale Of Technology Stocks Gains Pace

Investing says that tech stocks are likely to extend their recent declines in the gap, as the foam continues to come out of a market distorted by strong activity in individual stock options.

Nasdaq 100 futures were down 2.71% at 8:55 am, while Dow Jones futures were down 0.55% after starting the session steadily and S&P 500 futures deepened losses to 1.08%.

Mega-capitalized stocks also suffered: Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) fell 4.57%, while Facebook (NASDAQ: FB), Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) and Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) shares lost more than 3%.
