people misunderstand that Gold is the safe haven.

My answer is 'no'...

Because Gold rises when equities are rising.

I have no idea how this idea came.

Gold was strong when equities are weakening because of gold standard era.

But it is dollar standard era right now.

so strong gold means strong equities.
strong dollar means weak equities.
