On October 17, 2024, Lagarde announced that the ECB will lower interest rates by 25 basis points, bringing them down to 3.25%. Great news for those in need of loans, but what about the euro? With lower rates, a depreciation of the currency is likely. Investors? They might be less enthusiastic as they watch the euro decline in the markets. And me? No vacations ... staying home :)
