1️⃣ ECB President Lagarde told the European Parliament that the prospect of better global demand and a faster-than-forecast increase in consumer spending could support economic recovery in the European zone.
2️⃣ The present PMI outlook was better than expected in Germany, France, and the European zone.
USD - Strong Bearish
1️⃣ Federal Reserve head Jerome Powell stressed that temporary inflation fears are not too strong to support the central bank’s idea of raising interest rates by 2023.
2️⃣ Some FOMC members reiterated that the current high inflation is temporary and rising interest rates still seem distant.
