Bitcoin follows the same scenario. Accumulation shot up, accumulation falsely show a trend change, knock out stops, collect positions and go higher. This tactic can often be seen on Gold. I suppose someone big works according to their own algorithm.
Exit from a position, a sharp upward jump on a large volume.
