Can there be fractals on the 1hr chart???

I had been using CTI for a few weeks and had lost faith, I had done well with it but had hit a losing streak and went back to the usual suspects. When I saw DCF using it for fractal analysis, I was intrigued, so now I'm going to be seeing them everywhere. However, they look eerily similar. I was mostly playing with new charting tools, and I don't think this is going to happen.
