Bensler COT Oscillator

E-mini S&P 500 FuturesCME

Açıklama

I tried to replicate the indicator I think Jason Shapiro from Crowded Market Report has kind of alluded to on his interviews and YouTube channel. I think I made the default colors on my indicator match Shapiro's. It's best if used in parallel with the indicator CoT-Buschi which is a nice COT indicator that I based my oscillator off of. That way you can see the effect of the oscillator and decide if you like how the time period affects the output. I am a total noob so just in case you think I know what I'm talking about or doing, I don't.

is the lookback period in days? Like a 200-period lookback would be almost 29 weeks? Great stuff btw.
NwThtsAlotofDmg
@devinkshah, its configurable. I thought 200 days would be almost a year of trading days. I could be wrong.

Good work bro
So what's your strategy to trade Jason Shapiro oscillator model
NwThtsAlotofDmg
@kanageshenviled, I am just monitoring it for now so I haven’t traded on it yet but according to Shapiro wait till small and large speculators are both max long or close to max long over a 200 or 400 or 600 trading day look back window and then wait for the talking heads on TV to talk about something that SHOULD move the markets in the speculators direction but doesn’t. Then bet against the speculators with a tight stop loss. Other than that, reduce or eliminate risk when you are on the same side as the (small or small and large) speculators.

Thanks for the sharing. Which code in tradingview is for USD future in your model?
DXY doesn't work.
NwThtsAlotofDmg
@scottliou, From what I understand, the USD does not have a futures ticker because one dollar always equals one dollar in the US. If there was a futures ticker that had data, it would start with a "6" like the rest of the currency futures. You could buy futures contracts in other countries because one Canadian Dollar vs one USD is going to fluctuate. The DXY is a basket of currencies. 58% Euro, 14% Yen, 12% Pound, 9% Canadian Dollar, etc. If you are looking for futures on the DXY, the closest approximation would be the inverse of the biggest item in that basket (Euro). Sorry for the slow response. I didn't really expect anyone to look at this.
