Ehlers Mesa Spectrum Dominant Cycle [CC]

Apple Inc.NASDAQ

Açıklama

The Mesa Spectrum Dominant Cycle was created by John Ehlers and this is the foundation for many indicators he created that would later follow. This is his updated version of his original Mesa algorithm and I do not recommend this indicator as a stand alone for trading. This is more of an informational indicator that will tell you the current dominant cycle period which is the approximate period between peaks and valleys in the underlying data. I have color coded buy signals just in case with both strong and normal signals. Darker colors are strong and lighter colors are normal. Buy when the line is green and sell when it is red.

Let me know if there are any other indicators you would like to see me publish!

Hello Frank?, Jeff?, Anyone?
I am not getting anywhere with this. :(

Can anyone point me to any available code for other platforms (that is known working) ....?
Or anything else you can share that might help me figure out what is wrong with it?

@davewantsmoore, I think at this point, we have to assume that there is an issue with the original script that Ehlers wrote since I haven't seen it successfully fixed anywhere yet and I reached out to him but he wasn't sure either

@cheatcountry, Ah. Ok. Thanks.... I thought I read someone say that it worked on tradestation (or somewhere). Perhaps I misunderstood.
cheatcountry
@davewantsmoore, Well if that is true then please keep me updated and I can try to look into it further from the tradestation end

Thank you for the great indicators! Between the three, the Ehlers Mesa Spectrum Dominant Cycle [CC] - the Ehlers Cycle Period Indicator - the Ehlers Instantaneous Phase Dominant Cycle - are all intended to calculate the dominant cycle period incorporating different methods which can later be used as a lookback period for various indicators?
cheatcountry
@junkie190690, Yes that is correct

@cheatcountry, Out of all of his methods for calculating the dominant cycle period, is there any consensus as to which is "more accurate" or an improvement/update upon the rest?
So per my understanding, it has two uses - a bullish/bearish cycle indicator as well as using the dom cycle as a lookback period for indicators, correct?
cheatcountry
@junkie190690, I'm afraid there is no consensus and that is probably why he releases so many different versions on how to find the dominant cycle because he wants the user to find the best that works for them
