Yes the correction patterns are similar, but not necessarily the same. This applies to many different markets. Just because gold went down by a certain amount does not mean that BTC will approximate that move at all. The pattern can be pushed by a different amount or in another direction altogether.

Almost same crazy idea I did with ETHUSD and Silver days ago and another guy too with Gold and BTCUSD, looks crazy but who knows.
